Invoices and GST
Build an invoice from your catalogue, watch the tax split change with the buyer’s state, finalise it, and see where GST working papers come from.
Transcript
An invoice in Falcon starts from your catalogue and your customer, and the tax follows from both.
Build the invoice
Pick the customer. Narmada Supermart is in Madhya Pradesh, the same state as the seller. Then pick items from the catalogue: each brings its HSN code, unit, rate and GST rate. Same state, so the preview splits the tax into CGST and SGST, rate by rate.
Another state, another tax
Change the customer to Mahanadi Distributors in Chhattisgarh, and the same lines become IGST.
Finalise
Review and finalise gives it the next number in the series and posts it. A finalised invoice is corrected with a credit note, never edited.
Where GST goes next
