Terms of service

The agreement, in plain language. Last updated 12 October 2026 (draft).

Draft for review. These terms have not yet been approved by Godengine or reviewed by a lawyer.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Falcon, you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything done under your account. Tell the operator immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

Owners control who has access and at what role. Removing a member revokes their access immediately.

3. Your books are yours

You retain all rights to the business data you enter — parties, vouchers, stock, payroll, logos and everything else. The operator processes it solely to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you record and issue, and for having the right to use any logo or signature you upload.

You can export your reports and documents at any time, as spreadsheets and files another system can read.

Falcon online stores your data on servers in the United States.

4. Accounting and compliance is yours

Tax rates and document formats in Falcon are configurable defaults, not legal or tax advice. GST rates, thresholds and mandatory fields change — confirm what applies to your business with a qualified chartered accountant before issuing invoices.

Tax rates, return formats, document types, numbering rules, payroll ceilings and mandatory fields differ by jurisdiction and change over time. Nothing in this software constitutes tax, accounting or legal advice.

Nothing here is filed with any government system on your behalf. No filing credential is stored anywhere in this software and no code path exists that would use one. Preparing a figure is not the same as filing it, and the distinction is yours to observe.

Identifiers produced by the e-invoicing and e-way bill screens come from a sandbox provider, are marked SANDBOX, and must not be issued to customers as real e-invoices or transported goods documentation.

5. AI-assisted drafting

AI features produce drafts, not finished documents. They can misread your intent, omit information, or misattribute an amount.

You must review every field before finalising. All financial calculations are performed by deterministic code, but the inputs to those calculations may have come from an AI interpretation of your words — checking them is your responsibility.

Documents you issue are yours. The operator is not a party to them.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to issue fraudulent or misleading documents, to impersonate another business, to send unsolicited bulk mail, or to attempt to reach another company’s data.

Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, authorisation checks, period locks, or share-link expiry.

7. Availability

The software is provided as-is. Where it is self-hosted, availability, backups and disaster recovery are the responsibility of whoever deploys it. A backup rehearsal script ships with the source precisely because an untested backup is not a backup.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software is provided without warranties of any kind, and the authors and operators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost revenue or data, arising from its use.

9. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your company at any time. Deletion removes the records and cannot be undone — export anything you need first.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
